Jill has had a professional academic career at the University of California Berkeley and possesses graduate degrees in both English Literature and Library & Information Science. She also spent several years in the corporate arena where her focus was primarily in healthcare law.
Specialties: Limited mobility issues; joint replacement recovery; dance and performing arts enhancement; aging with fitness; pain management; arthritis; deep relaxation; postural alignment; nutritional support; movement fundamentals and functional development; psychological dimensions of movement and fitness.
Personal Story: Jill possesses a life-long love of human movement. Throughout life, she has enjoyed and explored dance, ballet, fitness, and both Western and Eastern forms of movement arts. Although physical challenges have occurred along the way, she has discovered there is always another way to move with joy, however small or quiet that may be. The life force persists toward aliveness. She has performed with a small dance group; studied with Merce Cunningham; and done trainings with both performing and healing moving arts professionals on both the East and West Coasts. Both Yoga and Pilates have given her a deeper respect and appreciation for the art of living within a healthy body.
Fun Fact: Jill thrives in the company of friends and family both near and far. In spare time, she enjoys reading and writing poetry; historical fiction; fiber and textile arts; flowers; and nature journeys.
