I got Cerebral Palsy (CP) at birth because the umbilical cord was wrapped around my neck and I lost oxygen to my brain. This caused my muscles not to work properly. I've done physical therapies all my life to try to undo the mistake of my birth doctor's, growing up as a nonverbal disabled individual was sometimes hard. I sometimes didn't see my chair, then when I wanted to do something with my peers, I was reminded that I couldn't.

I have to communicate through a device called Tobiidynavox, due to my CP, I'm unable to use my hands so I use my Tobiidynavox through eyegaze. I've never heard MY OWN voice until just recently. I bought a program called VocaliD. It took my vocalizations and my brother's words and blend them together so I can have my voice to be clear!

In Elementary School, I went to school part time to do my home's based physical therapy which is called Family Hope Center (FHC). In 5th grade, I noticed that I was getting behind with my education, so I decided to quit FHC and go to school full-time in 6th grade. My 6th grade year, I unfortunately stopped with any of PT's outside of school. I did PE, and I walked but unfortunately, that was it. The summer of 7th grade, my mom found Sci-Fit and that's where I found Stephanie.

In 8th grade, Stephanie set a goal for me, and the goal was for me to walk at my High School graduation, and receive my diploma, and I was able to accomplish that goal with two of my good friends (one was a trainer who also worked at Sci-Fit and the other one was a friend from Elementary School). It felt amazing to accomplish that goal after years of working hard!!!! I actually surprised my family and classmates, just a few knew.

Outside of PT's and school, I do adaptive sports, snow skiing, water sports, and ride my horse named Raza.

As of right now, I'm taking a semester off to figure my schooling out, I'm looking at Los Positas for Assistive Technology and become an advocator for individuals who is having difficulties with getting a communication device, or with their devices to get into their IEP's (Individualized Education Plan). I'm also thinking about Graphic Design. I've done Computer Arts since my Junior year of High School. I've published my work online, you can see my art work at my website: & you can contact me through my website or

We all have a couple of life-long goals, whether it’s getting into your dream school or setting personal dreams. We continue up that mountain and towards those goals, never letting small bumps get in our way!
