Education/Certifications: BS in Kinesiology and Biomechanics, University of Denver; MS Environmental Education, University of Oregon; California Teaching Credential – Life Science and Physical Education, San Francisco State University; American Red Cross CPR/AED

Specialties: Katrina specializes in blending Pilates, fitness training, and post-rehabilitation exercise to develop a strong and balanced body.

Personal Story: Katrina’s path into the Pilates and fitness world has been diverse with experience as a middle school Science and Physical Education teacher, the co-owner (former) of Body Kinetics Personal Training and Pilates Studios in San Francisco, studying with second generation Master Pilates Teacher Jennifer Stacey, and learning from physical therapists and sports chiropractors. Most recently Katrina has been inspired by the team at The Absolute Center (ABC) and is excited to be continuing her Pilates and movement education as a member of the ABC team. One theme runs through all Katrina’s professional endeavors – helping others to be active, healthful, and well balanced.

She enjoys exercising and challenging herself (mountaineering, dancing, bicycling, hiking, winter sports, and balance) travelling, gardening, museums, fabric arts, and cooking with her family. Katrina’s son is currently studying at UCLA.

Fun Fact: Katrina is a member of an international quilting group, Finestra Migranti. The group’s 65-meter-long migration-themed quilt (Katrina’s portion is two meters) will be shown in Italy in 2019 and France in 2020.
