Specialties: RaeLea’s specialties are focused around Pilates with a Rehabilitation emphasis and teaching
a fun and educational class that flows. Her background as a Physical Therapy Assistant has inspired her
continuing education to be enriched with the study of anatomy, biomechanics and functional movement
patterns. She enjoys helping her clients to find improved pathways that are pain free and related to
functional movement. RaeLea’s dance and gymnastics background are the basis of her Pilates and group
fitness classes. In a class with RaeLea you can expect to move with ease and flow while being educated
about your body. If there is music in the class, as you will always find in her bootybarre class, you will
easily be able to find the rhythm and do so with a smile on your face. RaeLea’s goal is to teach her
clients and students not only to move better but also to do so with more ease and maybe even a little
more rhythm.

Personal Story: While attending San Francisco State for her Bachelor of Science degree RaeLea was
heavily involved in the Dance Program, in which she was first introduced to the Pilates Method as a
conditioning program to take along side of her daily dance classes. After graduation and continuing on
to become a Physical Therapy Assistant RaeLea was once again introduced to Pilates in the rehabilitation
setting. From here she decided to pursue her Pilates teacher training certification. RaeLea’s Pilates
training was conducted under the trio of Absolute Center in Lafayette, CA consisting of Louise Johns,
Katie Santos and Claudia Moose. Among this trio she found invaluable lifelong mentors and inspiration.
As she has continued on with her Pilates journey she has also found invaluable mentorship under the
watchful eyes and heartfelt leadership of Nora St. John and Tracey Mallett. Additional inspirations and
learning along this journey include but are not limited to: Tom McCook, Joy Puleo, Dallas Everleth, and
Portia Page. She also continues to be inspired by the brilliant minds of Elizebeth Larkam, Katy Bowman,
Leslie Powell, Benjamin Degenhardt, Cara Reeser, and Mary Bowen.

Fun Fact: RaeLea enjoys cooking, jogging around Lake Merritt in Oakland, listening to books on audible,
being around her loved ones, her friends and her cat Lexi.
